Help Yourself

So when silence hit again earlier this week, I knew we were in trouble. I asked Luca what he was doing, he said he was getting a snack. What I found was him snacking on trailmix~the entire bag of trailmix poured into a colander. We HAVE to fix the child locks on the cabinets! At least he is learning to be self sufficient!

We've Been Framed!

We have windows and a roof (and shingles by the time I am posting...those pics will come shortly)
View from the backyard. The room that sticks out is our breakfast nook off the kitchen (on the right). The family room is on the left with the 2 windows and hole in the wall~which will be transformed into an indoor and outdoor fireplace.

Luca found a new kind of horse to ride~in our master bedroom none the less! Check out how small we look under the towering ceilings which are true to size...(the upper beams that run across will be exposed)

A walk we will take many times...through the 2nd floor hallway of our new house!

Silence Is Deafening!

For those of you who know Luca well, you know that he talks NONSTOP. So this morning when there was nothing but silence in our house, I knew someting was up. I called upstairs to ask what he was doing, and he shouted down "I'm getting dressed, Mom!" He sure was too! In daddy's socks and underwear. Never a dull moment ~ NEVER!

Feel the Love!?!

Luca is turning into a wonderful big brother! He loves holding Nico, helping with his bath, finding a paci when needed (I think he's excited someone else shares the love for the paci...though nowhere near the extent big brother does!) Nico on the other hand isn't always sure of all of the love Luca shows towards him.
Nico tries really hard to smile but he's not quite there yet. One of these days it'll happen...but who will win the 1st smile? Luca? Mommy? Daddy?

It's obvious Nico puts a smile on Luca's face though (check out Nico's eyes. Can they get any bigger?)!

Tummy Time!

Luca loves joining Nico on the floor for tummy time. He's a big help too because the second Nico lays on the floor, he gets cuddly with it and falls asleep. Luca works hard talking and singing to him so he stays alert.
It's hard work to lift up your head with cheeks that big!

Delicious

As you can see, Nico is not shy when it comes to eating! At 5 weeks, he has more rolls (and in places I didn't know you can get rolls) than Luca ever had...

but they are so delicious, I can just eat them!

Onward and Upward

Everyday (non-rainy day that is) we see our house grow. We are able to walk inside now and get a feel for what it is really going to be like. We were in Luca's room the other day where he was thrilled there was a bird in his room! Hope that robin finds a new home once the roof and windows go on!
