Tummy Time!

Luca loves joining Nico on the floor for tummy time. He's a big help too because the second Nico lays on the floor, he gets cuddly with it and falls asleep. Luca works hard talking and singing to him so he stays alert.
It's hard work to lift up your head with cheeks that big!

Delicious

As you can see, Nico is not shy when it comes to eating! At 5 weeks, he has more rolls (and in places I didn't know you can get rolls) than Luca ever had...

but they are so delicious, I can just eat them!

Onward and Upward

Everyday (non-rainy day that is) we see our house grow. We are able to walk inside now and get a feel for what it is really going to be like. We were in Luca's room the other day where he was thrilled there was a bird in his room! Hope that robin finds a new home once the roof and windows go on!

Little byLittle

Luca isn't quite sure of what to think of his little brother. Every day he gets a little more curious...
a little more interested...

and a little more loving :)

Bonding Time

Finding quality time to spend with both boys is not easy, so we take what we can get. Whether it's a quick snuggle on the couch, or....
watching Curious George together :)

Nico Michele DiCosola...

...Can now be introduced formally now that he has a name! (and fyi the middle name is pronounced "me-kay-lay") It only took 38 weeks and 29 hours:) We can't wait to go home tomorrow and begin our new life together as a family of 4!

Extra Special Delivery!

How *QUICKLY* life changes...and I'm talking QUICKLY! We arrived at the hospital at 12:30pm...Epidural in at 3:15...Started pushing at 4:02pm and 2 pushes later he arrived at 4:05! Our family of 3 is now a family of 4!
Why oh why is this face so hard to name? As if 9 months wasn't long enough I needed to see him before I decided...and see him...and see him...and see him.

His stat sheet reads as follows: 6lbs. 10oz., 19 inches long, tons of black hair and the softest skin you've ever felt!

He was a wailer when he made his arrival, but then mellowed out and was very alert for the next 3 hours. Nonna, Nonnie, Papa and Luca came to visit us in the delivery room. Luca was excited about the baby for about...30 seconds, then wanted to watch tv, talk on the phone, play with the bed, and just snuggle with mama. Oh how lucky are we for these precious little boys :)
